The hundreds years development of preschool children's art education was revolving around the development and changes of preschool children's art curriculum. However, by far, most researches on this field are focus on the current art curriculum and aesthetics psychology, and the historical studies on children's art curriculum in preschool are relatively few.Based on an all-around review of the one-hundred-year-odd development of art education in preschool and profoundly reflection on the practical issues of the art curriculum, the thesis will discuss three basic issues of preschool children's art curriculum, those are, value orientation, content construction as well as curriculum and teaching. Assisted mainly by historical documents, along with comparative method, questionnaire and interview, the paper managed to review the changes and logical relationship of these issues among different historical periods, find basic laws leading its development, and provide helpful and instructive suggestions on the future development of preschool children's art education, especially on the reform manners and prospective. With this in-depth study, the thesis aimed to offer possible instructions to the theory construction and teaching practice of the on-gonging preschool children's art curriculum reform in China.
