Although there were rich culture and education in ancient China, but there were no independent forms of the pedagogy. At the beginning, the feature of the pedagogy was introduced which was the "traditional failure" and the "wholesale import". It can be said that Chinese pedagogy is a kind of product of the study of foreigner pedagogy in certain degree. In the process of developing Chinese pedagogy system, the peak period that introduced the pedagogy came to two times, the one was in 1920s and 1930s; the other one was in the mid of 1980s.During the second peak of the introduction, Chinese pedagogy focused on the western academic, mainly manifested in two aspects: First, academic development and the need for education reform, such as the post-modern educational theories, including directly introduced Knowledge theory and the Curriculum theory, as well as pay attention to the new philosophy theory and researched them. Second, it refers to the necessary to construct the new discipline, the necessary to research western educationalists and pedagogy theory system. This paper seeks to research the introduction and impact of western pedagogy in China in the latter 20th century.The purpose of this research lies in through the process and the features of introduction, the positive and negative affect, and enlightenment which the study gives us by introducing the western pedagogy into China in the latter 20th century. Draw the outline of Chinese pedagogy which the process from introduction to "sinicize" in the last half of latter 20th century, and make evaluations, in order to provides the historical model which for the development in the current of our Country's pedagogy.Embarks from this angle, the whole text altogether is composed by five parts. The first part mainly is carries on the review of the process which western pedagogy was introduced to our Country in the latter 20th century, and found out the introduction during this period can be dividing into four main stages: First stage, take Kairov's《Pedagogy》as the representative, Former Soviet Union's pedagogy was introduced and disseminated into our Country, after the People's Republic of China establishment, because of determined the founding of our nation's policy is "take Russians to be the teacher", our pedagogy circle has carried out the activity which to study the Socialist construction experience from the Former Soviet Union; Second stage, because of the "Great Revolution of Education" which had seriously "Left" thought, caused the pedagogy construction to receive the setback, and at the same time, they started to carry on the critique that frantic studied Kairov's《Pedagogy》during the first stage. Afterwards, the "Great Cultural Revolution" brought the serious disaster to our Party, Country and the people from various races. In this disaster, the pedagogy had similarly encountered the serious destruction, and it urged the pedagogy to appear disaster backing up; Third stage, after the "Grate Cultural Revolution" ended, the pedagogy workers of our Country asked massive questions to this discipline, if we wanted to make the reply to these questions, we had to inevitably consult the foreign Countries. Therefore, we not only must consult to Former Soviet Union, but also had to massively consult to the western nations such as the United States; Fourth stage, our Country entered the comprehensive deepened reform time after 1985. Our Country's education discipline construction also had the certain development. As while as new education scientific system establishment, the western pedagogy works were introduced by us which in this period also displayed the multiplication characteristics, translation proportion of the education works in European and American were gradually raised, and at the same time, the scope of translation was more widespread. The second part of this paper was carried on the summary of the characteristics which was introduced from the western Countries. The third part of this essay mainly inspected and induced the positive influence which the western pedagogy were introduced by our Country in the latter 20th century. The forth part of this paper mainly focused on the reconsideration of the negative effect which the western pedagogy were introduced by our Country in the latter 20th century, and we should have the critique attitude to treatment the introduction. According to the questions what I mentioned in the first four parts, the fifth part aims to give our some enlightenment which in the process of the pedagogy were introduced by our Country.
