Teacher's job burnout referred to a kind of extreme reaction, which took place when they couldn't cope with their work stress smoothly. It was a state of exhaustion of feelings, attitude and behavior that had happened when they experienced work stress for a long time. In recent years, the research on teacher's job burnout was increasing gradually in domestic, but the specific studies on job burnout and job satisfaction and their mutual relations were still not many. It had been analyzed and studied that the status and the relationship of the teacher's job burnout and job satisfaction by the investigating to 352 teachers in Weihai city. The results were as follows:1.As the whole result, the Weihai Middle school teacher's job burnout and job satisfaction belonged to the medium level, there were 53.5% teachers feeling burnout with their job and 58% teachers were not satisfied with their job.2. It had not showed differences that concerned with sex, teaching seniority, title, and whether the teacher was in charge on the overall job burnout, feeling exhaust, low sense of achievement and dehumanization. The local factor only had effect on the total points of job burnout(P<0.05) .The feeling of job burnout in rural school teachers was stronger than that in urban school teachers.3.The school type factors (junior middle school, high school, vocational middle school) affected the job burnout , they also had extremely remarkable effect on the mood failure dimension. The degree of job burnout of the junior middle school teachers'and high school teachers'was obviously stronger than the vocational middle school teachers, but there was no difference between the junior middle school teachers and high school teachers.4.The satisfaction with job could affect the overall job burnout, feeling exhaust, low sense of achievement and dehumanization through dimension: the leadership and the management, the sense of achievement, the student, the education system, the income and the welfare, the social position, the colleague relates, the society approves, the working pressure and condition.5.The teachers'sexuality had great effect on the degree of satisfaction total score, the education system, the social position and the colleague relations.(P<0.01).There were also differences on the leadership and the management, the sense of achievement, and the feminine teacher's job satisfaction was higher than the masculine teacher. There was no obvious difference in other several aspects, but the female teachers'job pressure satisfaction was lower than the male teachers.6.There was significant difference on the total score of teachers'job satisfaction as well as the leader and the management, the sense of achievement, the student, the working pressure and etc. The job satisfaction total of the junior middle school teachers was the highest. On the job satisfaction total and the work stress, the high school teachers had the lowest satisfaction, which showed their work stress was the biggest.7.There was significant difference in job burnout between higher and lower job satisfaction group. The teachers who were very satisfied with their jobs had less job burnout significantly than those who were less satisfied with their jobs.8.There existed negative correlation between the teacher's job burnout and job satisfaction (r=-0.469**), and it was significant(P<0.01). It was the same either between the teacher's job burnout and the factors of the job satisfaction or between the teacher's job satisfaction and the factors of the job burnout.9.The job satisfaction, school types, leader and administration, colleague relationships and work stress were five important predictive variants to job burnout.,of which the predictive power of the job satisfaction whose explanation quantity was 22 percent was the best. The colleague relationship factor significantly positive predicted the teacher's job burnout and its all three factors.According to the investigation result and interviewed with partial teachers, this article gave some advice on how to reduce the job burnout and improve the job satisfaction from the social environment, the school organization and individual aspects.
