The reflection movement rising in western countries has spread and affected the world since 1980s. The background of the movement is as following. Teaching reflection rose with the development of teacher specialization movement. Reflective teachers'cultivating is critique of traditional concept of teachers. It conforms to the globalization of education, the public demand for high quality education and the new requirement for teachers in the new round of reforms in elementary education.Teaching reflection has profound theoretical foundation on which scholars have made different expositions. The thesis introduced teaching reflection thoughts and illustrated my own understanding. Based on this, it researches on the content, process and perspectives of teaching reflection.In order to combine with the development of teaching reflection research, the thesis conducted some surveys and got some results. First, gender difference of teachers does not affect on their reflection. Second, there are obvious differences in educational background when teachers reflect from the perspective of self and research references. Third, the difference between rural and urban areas does not affect on teachers'reflection. Fourth, teaching different grades does not influence their reflection. Fifth, there is clear difference in reflection of teachers who hold different attitudes toward teaching through self, colleague and references. Sixth, among teachers at different ages, there is obvious difference in reflection. Seventh, among teachers with different years of teaching, reflection through students is different.Based on these results, the thesis analyzed factors affected the reflection ability and the structure of the reflection ability. Then it put forward the training methods and strategies of teachers'reflection ability. 1. Sharpen the awareness of reflection and enhance teachers'reflection; 2. Strengthen theoretical qualification and enhance teachers'reflection; 3. Grasp the strategies of reflection and enhance teachers'reflection; 4. Improve the evaluating system and enhance teachers'reflection; 5. Create the environment for reflection and enhance teachers'reflection; 6. Obtain others'help and enhance teachers'reflection.One of the purposes of this thesis is to have a tentative research and theoretical analysis on teaching reflection of middle school and primary school teachers. The other is to combine the teaching theories with the teaching practice and try to promote the curricular reforms and help teachers with more effective reflections.
