General senior middle school education has a distinctive position and value in the whole national educational system. As the organic part of elementary education, senior middle education not only lays the foundation of students'development all their life, but also has an important significance for students'accepting higher education. In order to foster new-style talented people needed by the society who adapt to a rapid change, our nation has carried out a wide range adjustment and reform for the courses of senior education stage. Among these adjustments, the maximal subject is history. In the foreword of"the Course Standard of General Senior Middle School History", Some problems that the present history courses can't adapt to the development of society and disadvantage to the development of students in an all round way are pointed out sharply. The history course in the general senior middle school must realize its educational function all-sidle and plays an important part in improving modern citizens'qualities. However, for a long time the history education is divorced from reality; History teaching takes in pursue of the rate of entering schools, passing and outstanding as a final goal. A history lesson is a synonym for memorizing mechanically in students'mind. Moreover, the method of developing the historical humanity accomplishment is unitary, without any systematical plan and goal. Meanwhile, in the traditional history lessons, historical patriotism emotion is paid much more attention, which makes the humane accomplishment education, including the views of citizen, democracy, law and the spirit of innovation, insufficient, thus causes its effect to be not good .the history teaching which promotes middle school students'humanity accomplishment in the actual life is not entirely satisfactory. History has its own irreplaceable position and importance in the system of training people, especially in cultivating students'qualities. How to improve the present condition of humanity education in senior middle history lessons? We can realize it form these aspects below: Cultivating students'humane spirit through the teaching of historical figures; digging into teaching material carefully and seek humane spirit sufficiently in teaching material; giving a lecture on a special subject to help students understand humane spirit; designing comprehensive questions on history to improve the humane spirit of students; seeking the break-through point of teaching material and developing modern citizens'awareness of students so as to portray their humane spirit imperceptibly; cultivating students'humane spirit through practical activities after class. Strengthening middle school students'quality education is a course given step by step, and can not be done at one go. It requires that entire society gives great importance, needs a high attention of the educational authority, and demands that teachers all should achieve an agreement, coordinate comprehensively and promote it practically. Enlarging the society medium's propagating, arousing entire society attaching to humanity quality education. We should reinforce the building of teaching staff, pay attention to training the teacher having higher humanity quality. Besides, we need to change the educating concept, reform teaching methods, and make humanity educated in history .Strengthening the reform of art teaching including history; exploring the ways of humanity education from different aspects; promoting the efficiency of humanity quality; creating the colorful atmosphere of schooling and building a better humanity environment, and urge students to change the knowledge into humanity spirit.
