In the initial stages of western Zhou, the ancients had brought feat into the category of humanistic morality. The Hongquan is a part of Chinese martial arts, which has a long history of more than 700 years. It extensively spreads through northwest. The special body building, strike technique and the cultural value of Hongquan have a great influence on the developments of the athletics and civil art of the northwest region, especially of Shaanxi province. In order to better inherit and develop Hongquan, we should promote the technical norm and theories of scientific of the Hongquan and reflect the special features that urging the genre characteristic and function practicality of Hongquan; increace the production of related device and the publication of the book, the Artistic works in films and TV programs. From all these, we will increase the content of the economic industry of the Shaanxi martial arts; besides, we should scoops out the cultural content of Hongquan to make people fully understand and study Hongquan and enrich the China martial arts cultural treasure-house; and make Hongquan break the place limit and melt into the big system of martial arts to head for the world from China. The article applies document-summarizing method, expert interviewing, on-the-spot investigation and the questionnaire survey to investigate the development history and the present development condition of Hongquan. It studies the historical forming process of Hongquan from two aspects- the theories system building and the technique system building. The technique system includes four aspects: the evolving the history and the technique action of Hongquan. the past dynasties masters who played an important role in the development of Hongquan and connections and differences between Hongquan and other Quans. The theories system of Hongquan includes four aspects: the Chinese classical philosophy foundation, the Chinese ancientstrategies foundation, the Chinese medicine theories foundation and folk literature foundation. The research based on the result of questionnaire survey and reveals the real reasons that Hongquan is not widely available. They include that the practice method of Hongquan is old; Hongquan can not keep up with the demand of the development of modern society. The publicity of Hongquan is not enough and the special features of Hongquan are not outstanding. The people who practice Hongquan are totally inadequate and the extension of Changquan at certain degree restricts the development of Hongquan. The advantage of Hongquan is that it contains great value of culture, body building and strike technique. According to the present development condition of Hongquan, the following suggestions and countermeasures are proposed. We should increases reform strength on the increase and preservation of movements, providing more choices for competition and extension of contents. We should focus on the fixed position and reforms to Hongquan according to the demand of different social community and hold various activities with the theme of traditional martial arts" to enhance the popularity, influence and strike technique level. Besides, we need to extend the storage of the spare talented person and study the theories to carry on the research to Hongquan. The martial art takes the set and the economic trade sings an opera.
