Wushu is a soul of Chinese traditional culture and it is an excellent traditional item of P. E. .It is also an important part of P.E. of colleges and universities in our country. Along with the teaching reform of the P.E. course in Chinese schools, Wushu teaching must be reform and innovate to adapt the requirement of undergraduates and social. Using the method of literature; questionnaire; number statistics; investigation; logic analyses, the present paper has diagnosed the actuality of Wushu teaching of colleges and universities in Shanxi province, discovered the problems in Wushu teaching and to find the ways and means to solve the problems in order to promote the reform and innovation of Wushu teaching of colleges and universities in Shanxi province. (1)Wushu teaching is a best way to teach students about our traditional culture. Leads of our party and managers of government are attaching importance to Wushu teaching. The function department of government has set down the policy to enhance Wushu teaching in schools. In fact, many colleges and universities have not set down the effective development goals and action plans of Wushu teaching, so as to the work of Wushu teaching has been done not well.(2)The course of Wushu was settled by all schools nearly in Shanxi province. Undergraduates like Wushu very much and hold a good motivation to study it. At the same time, for narrow cognition channel, poor Wushu study base, insufficiency study time, athletics equipment shortage and lack chance to perform to most of undergraduates, their enthusiasm of study Wushu has not be inspired. (3)The persons qualified to teach Wushu are not enough to meet requirement of Wushu teaching in schools in Shanxi province. Their study degree has not up to the governmental par and their age configuration has not optimized. High-level coaches and judges are not enough.(4)There are all kinds of teaching materials in Wushu teaching. But the content of its'is quite monotony and lack of systematization and standardization. Judge of student's Wushu studying is not felicitousness.The article Suggested that:(1)We must set down the all-sided development stratagem of Wushu teaching in colleges and universities. (2)There are several ways enhance the reformation of Wushu teaching in schools .First, Wushu teachers must improve on their judge of methods and teaching art in Wushu teaching. Second, in order to promote teacher's teaching level, the school governor must offer some training chance to Wushu teachers. Third, it must build the new system of Wushu teaching content. (3)Propagandize and intercommunion is very important to Wushu development. We must enhance on the works by many channels and modals and methods in order to promote the development of Wushu teaching in colleges and universities in Shanxi province.
