A Research On The Actuality And Sustainable Development Of Wushu Schools In Anhui Province

Wushu, as one of the national traditional physical subject, is welcomed by peoplein China. In the new era of the socialistic country of China, Wushu has got much ofattention and is developing rapidly, As the show of the movie Shaolin Temple in 1980's,not only there came into being a trend to learn Wushu in all the country but also Wushuschools are developed rapidly."Wushu schools" refers to these educational institutions possessing thequalification of awarding education diploma in Wushu. It requires to grasp culturalknowledge and actualize theoretic teaching and skill-training aiming at cultivatingprofessional people. Wushu schools have a long history in our country. There wasprimary shape in Song Dynasty and evolved into the form of nowadays. Over the past10 years, all kinds of Wushu schools grow quickly and spread all over the country. Thequantity of Wushu schools and the amount of students in schools are increasing yearafter year. At present there are over 12000 Wushu schools in our country and onemillion students in the schools. More than 130 of these schools are registered officiallyin Anhui Province.In this paper the analysis of literature, investigation of questionnaire, analysis ofvisiting experts, statistics analysis, case analysis, synthetical analysis etc are adopt.Through all-around investigation in Wushu schools and analysis of abundant facts, thispaper evaluates objectively the important function of Wushu schools in socialisticdevelopment and takes apart all kinds of existent questions in Anhui Wushu schools.There are some points from this investigation. The first, the development of Wushuschools in Anhui is in the period of transfer and recombination, the quality of schoolsgoes to the two poles. The second, the construct and development of schools play animportant role in inheriting and prevalence of Wushu tradition, developing the cause ofWushu in new ways, enhancing the level of athletics, Spreading abroad Wushu culture.At the same time they make great contributions, to accelerating socialist ideological andethical progress, widing the ways of cultivating Wushu athletes, providing students withmore opportunity of seeking for occupations, helping develop local economy, increasing position of occupations. The third, there are also many problems in its developing suchas a lack of integrity in policy and rule of law, distemperedness of administrativeinstitutions, weak in management, disqualification of teachers' level, nonstandardteaching materials, inadequacy in course setting, bad in equipment and condition, thelow quality of students. The forth, there is not enough healthy and sustaining guidancein Wushu schools' construction, the new-style Wushu schools are still in the stage ofgrope.For resolving the problems, this thesis suggests some active counter-measures. Forguidelines: first, construct Wushu schools' characteristic in education; next, change theview of managering schools, build up the thoughts of "people oriented"; last, attachimportance to the education of morality and law. For actualization: the first, strengthenadministrative supervision and managing system; the second, strengthen themanagement of schools themselves and implement the way of supervising the school byscience; the third, improve the quality of teaching in all kinds of ways, persist in thethoughts of "people oriented", the forth, emphasis on quality of teachers and system ofassessment; the fifth, raise money as much as possible, the sixth, encourage to set up theschools in combination, wide the way of seeking for occupations. All of these willbenefit the development of Wushu schools towards standardization and scientization.On the other hand they will make Wushu schools become the region of cultivatingathletes with moral and aptness, knowledge and skills, and then make Wushu schoolssustainable develop and offer the theory for Anhui Wushu schools' development.
