Tentative Touch To The Exsiting Form Of Vocational Education

The existing form of vocational education refers to the form which can be perceived externally by people. In the recent years, the theoretical circle of vocational education in our country held some discussion on what was vocational education and hardly reached consensus, one important reason was due to we lacked for long the overall and in-depth study about the existing form of vocational education. Thus in order to have a further understanding of the vocational education, it is very necessary to systematically study and analyze the existing form of vocational education.This essay mainly studies the existing form of vocational education from two dimensions, from the temporal dimension and the spatial dimensions. The former investigates the existing form of vocational education in agricultural, industrial and knowledgeable societies. The second studies and analyzes the existing form of vocational educational system in 60 countries, and then summarize the existing form of vocational education in level and in form, which leads to the conclusion that judging from the level, vocational education can be mainly divided into three levels of primary ,junior and senior level, while judging from the form, it has three forms of vocational school education, enterprise training and modern apprentice.At last we get some enlightenment on better understanding and defining the vocational education. Of the historical existing form of vocational education, the changes of existing form of vocational education is not only the necessary results of history, but also to be limited or promoted by the ideas of vocational education ,national idea and macroscopic policy in different countries. Of the level of vocational education, secondary vocational education and non-university level higher vocational education would be the main body, and the higher vocational education which award assistant degree and degree would be in an upward trend. Of the form of vocational education, there is many forms in one country and in different stage of economic development one form is more important than other forms. Of the definition of vocational education, the training target should be the main basis. Of the training target, vocational education is a type of education which is aiming at training workers, technician, and advanced technician.
