Since 1980's, a vast"Reconstructing Education System Movement"has been started in Western Countries, among which is higher education.From the perspective of new managerialism, this research undertakes an exploration into reforms of new managerialism model in higher education initiated in 1980's. Based on the introduction and analysis of the study fruit in the same fields abroad and at home, the thesis argues that the new managerialism model reform was spreaded in western countries rapidly in1990's under the background of the failure of government and market, and with the base of relevant reform carried on from 1970's to 1980's, then, it became one of the main reform ideas. Some similar characters are showed in several primary aspects of all countries'reform practices. After introducing the reform models, the author concludes and analyzes some characters which emerged in the reform process, and do comparative analysis for each country, hence, sums up the influences on western countries caused by these reforms and also tries to find reason of their similarities and differences in each country.
