An Economics Anlysis Of Higher Vocational Education

With the development of world economy, science and technology, the industrialstructure gets readjusted and enhanced ,the shifting speed of vocation quickened ,thediversity of vocation multiplied and the content of technology of vocationenlarged .The higher vocational education which combines academic level educationwith technique education gets a rapid development, at present ,the number of nationalhigher vocational education institute, the enrollees and registered students havebecome a large margin of national higher education scale.The popularization andmarketization of higher vocational education have become the consensus of thepeople.This naturally results in the concern from economic circles. It is of greatimportance to study the investment and economic profit of higher vocationaleducation with the theory and method of economics. To provide theoretical model forthe enhancement of social economy and development of higher vocational education.This thesis sets up to research the economic significance of higher vocationaleducation.first of all,it demarcates the concept of higher vocational education.and putmore emphasis of vocational focus and technical ability on higher vocationaleducation,and regard it as employment education guided by the suppy-demand ofthe talent market.Then,establish a supplying-demanding relationship theoreticalmodel of higher vocational education,analyse the complicated supplying-demandingrelationship higher vocational education with supplying-demanding theory of westerneconomics.The higher vocational institutions,students and employment unitsconsistute three main body of supply-demand of higher vocational education .it isalso include two pieces of supply-demand relationship ,educational servicesupply-demand (higher vocational institution—student),and educational productsupply-demand(higher vocational institution—employment unit).In the light ofanalysis of relationship between supply and demand of higher vocationaleducation.This thesis regard that investment conducts and employment effects ofhigher vocational education remain the main problem of supply-demand theory ofhigher vocational education that deserves researching.At the same time,the paperapply the cost-revenue framework of economics to analyze the investment conductsof higher vocational education with discounting methods. This thesis draw a conclusion: The contradiction of demand exceeds supplywill last a long time; The investment and employment remain the main factors thatmodulating the contradiction movement of relations between supply and demand inthe theoretical model of higher vocational education, namely, to enlarge theinvestment could enlarge the efficient supply of higher vocational education and tofacilite the employment could result in demand; After analyzing the investmentconducts and employment effects of higher vocational education,the author regard theeconomic significance of higher vocational education is to enlarge investment andfacilite employment. Lastly, in the light of the present situction of our national highervocational education, the paper put forward the counter-measures and suggestions ondeveloping higher vocational education.
