American Higher Educational Policy' Influence On The University' Curriculum Offering

The USA is the most developed country on the higher education in the world. Its perfect curriculum system ensure higher education' quality. And. USA' higher educational policy have effect on its curriculum system directly or indirectly. So this paper is meaningful for China' higher education which is reforming now.But the paper' space and my energy is so limited, I just chose some aspects to illustrate it on the base of study achievements before, such as higher educational law and financial system. For example,《The Yale Report》hindered the university selective system;《The Morrill Act》made the practical subjects appear in college;《The National Defense Educational Act》promoted the college curriculum internationalization;《The Servicemen's Readjustment Act》and《The Vocational Educational Act》influenced the vocational curriculum.We can learn something from America. First; we must complete our country' educational law to leadthe curriculum offering in university; second, we should pay more attention to the university and give them some autonomy right, making the curriculum offering fit the society' needs; we should harmonize the government' macroscopical and microscopical management function. Futhermore, we must recognize that the government and the college have dual effect on the curriculum system.
