A Study On The Correlation Between The Climate Of School Organizational Administration And Teachers' Working Performance

The climate of school organizational administration reflects the school organization's personality. It exerts a subtle influence on the teacher's motivation, values and attitudes towards work, and even on their performance. At current, while the school administration pays more attention to "the idea based on humanity and human concerns", it seems even more striking that the organization's culture and climate get the upper hand of other things. So what effect does the organization's climate have on the performance of school teachers? How to build a climate atmosphere to promote teacher's working performance? Undoubtedly, this is a significant subject for us to study.Synthesizing the study results abroad and at home, this research will employ the methods and techniques of questionnaire, interviewing and case analysis. It also will use the self-editing measuring table for the organizational administration and the teacher's performance. We sample 245 middle school teachers at random from 10 counties and towns in Chengzhou city for the preliminary investigation, and then sample 378 middle school teachers at random from Sichuan Province for formal research and study. What we intend to do is to analyze the relativity between the climate of school organizational administration and teachers' working performance. Our findings are the followings:(1) By analyzing the explorative and validating factors, we find that the climate of school organizational administration is composed of six factors: democratic style, healthy system, systematic administration, showing consideration and concern, the leaders' authority and human relation guidance. On the basis of these six factors, we self-edit questionnaire for the school organizational administration. By investigating its reliability and availability, we find that the questionnaire have a good reliability and availability.(2) Based on the theoretical construction of Motowidlo and Van ScoRer's administrator's working performance table, we work out a teacher's working performance table. By analyzing explorative and validating factors, we have the results indicating that the table constitutes three factors—human relation promotion, task performance and working contribution, and on this basis, we review its reliability and availability. As the results show, the table for teacher's working performance is available and credible measuring tools.(3) Through the analysis of the correlation and gradual regression, we find that there is a remarkable correlativity between the factors of school organizational administration and teacher's working task performance, while the correlativity between the leader's authority and democratic style and the context performance is not prominent.(4) And the regression analysis further indicates that the climate of school organization may predict teacher's working performance. It can predict 34.2% variation of teacher's working performance. Among them, healthy system, systematic administration, human relation guidance and showing consideration and concern are the primary factors in leading to teacher's working performance. But school leader's authority and democratic style have no obvious effect on teacher's working performance.
