| The Teacher Professional Development is a key point in this reform for the fundamental curriculum. A lot of theories have been put forwards by many specialists. Because of all kinds of reasons, the Teacher Professional Development in our country is still at an early stage. The teacher's specialized level is not high, the theory is still far away form the actual operation. Based on the teachers in senior schools, this research gains a lot of useful and precious materials through all kinds of research techniques.This article elaborates the essential meaning and the importance of the Teacher Professional Development from three aspects: the need of the society's development; the need of the teaching development and the need of the teacher's self value. It pays special attention to the problems and the puzzlements that comes up during the Teacher Professional Development,such as: too much attention on the qualification, less attention on the teaching skills; limited training time; poor training arrangement; the ineffective training effect.
