| There has been a close relationship between technology and Olympic Games since the modern Olympic Games developed. Technology has provided protection and support for the success of the Olympic Games; while Olympics promoted the development of technology. Beijing has put forward the idea to make the 2008 Olympic Games as the"Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics". It means that Chinese government hope to apply more high-tech in 2008 Olympic Games and promote the development of high-tech stimulated by Olympics.High technological achievements should not just service for the Olympic Games, they should also be applied to wider areas. This requires effective methods of technology management to identification, selection, understanding, development and protection these technologies.Technology roadmap(TRM) is a leading tool for technology management, it is used by a growing number of organizations, including corporations, industry association, government agencies and research institutes. Through view tools, TRM helps all stakeholders to reach consensus on the future development of technology. This thesis is to introduce the details of TRM and apply TRM in High-tech Olympics.The contribution is as following:⑴this thesis introduced the concept of Technology Roadmap and its development and application,⑵classification methods from two different dimensions and its different applications are introduced,⑶the dissertation showed the rendering approaches of TRM, including the preparation of the elements involved, prerequisites, processes and methods,⑷the relationship between Olympic Games and technology is expounded, ⑸the last chapter applied the TRM in Intelligent Video Surveillance products which can be used in the Intelligent Security surveillance system for Olympic games 2008. |
