Research On Present Situation And Content Construction Of Special Curriculum Of Sport Dancing Of P. E Colleges And Departments In Some Universities Of Our Country

Sport dancing has been becoming a subject in part of the P.E Institutes and the P.E Departments of the comprehensive universities in China. The teaching standard has not met the demand of the society, owing to the short time of its existence which is less than ten years. Taking special curriculum content of sport dancing in some colleges and universities' P.E specialty in china as the object, By using the methods of data analysis, inquiry interview and questionnaire, this study surveys its syllabus, textbooks, faculty quality and classroom teaching.By collecting data and analyzing the statistics which are based on the questionnaires carried out among the specialist teachers and students of Sport dancing in the P.E. Institutes, the current situation of special curriculum of sport dancing of physical education major in china is drawn out as follow: First of all, the arrangement of teaching hour is disunity, the thought of cultivation emphasize on technique instead of theory is severe in teaching of Sport Dancing. Secondly, there is lack of high quality teaching materials, teaching program and unified syllabus. Thirdly, teaching staff is deficient in its quantity and quality. Fourth, the content of Sport Dancing course is old and solo. Fifth, there is lack of developing creation ability in practice. Finally, scientific research is weak in Sport Dancing.Through the comparative analysis of the eight syllabuses and systematic study of the pedagogic theories, from social needs, academic development and the development of three aspects of individual students, brings forward the necessity of reform of sport dancing special curriculum of physical education major in china. By analyzing the statistics which are based on the questionnaires about the importance of evaluation of teaching content carried out among the specialist teachers, the author established special curriculum content of sport dancing.It suggests that Education Department should strengthen teaching management; establish the scientific evaluating indexes and assessment criteria; intensify the construction of teaching staff and establish the standard of professional title for teachers of Sport Dancing; strengthen the research on theory and enhance the level of scientific research to improve rapidly performance of Sport Dancing. Teaching of Sport Dancing special course should be according with student's interest, affection and competence, build main direction and establish assessment criteria of every one; strengthen the construction of teaching material and enhance the cross-disciplinary research.
