Research On The Talented Athletes In The Universities

It is a significant strategy to adopt the policy of holding the talented athletes in the common universities and it has achieved good effects. Not only has it cultivated lots of people with Physical Education (PE) abilities in support, but it also flourished campus activities and promoted the development of PE career in universities. But there are also a lot of existing problems such as insufficient outlay, lacking of seasoned coaches, conflicts of study and training, and the phenomenon of over-narrowing of the origin of students and so on, all of which are in great need of improving. In this paper, basing on the current method of supervising the talented athletes in the condition of Shandong University of Science and Technology, we analyzed the character of the talented athletes and the advantages and disadvantages of current policy and finally proposed a new method of managing.With the purpose of improving the whole qualities and promoting the well developments of the talented athletes, aiming at the current problems in the management of from enrolling, students' status, the teaching, training, competition and the coaches to the management of awarding mechanism of coaches and the athletes, the improvements and degrading of the athletes and the daily managements and so on, we put forward some improvements of the present mechanisms and give some suggestions on how to enhance the present policies, hoping make the building of teams of the talented athletes more efficient, scientific, in great order and with good criterion.
