Along with the development of globalization, psychologist paid more and more attention to the ethnic identity and nation identity of adolescents. The research on ethnic identity and nation identity have developed with the Social Identity theory, and have become more and more important in the field of group psychology study. Social Identity theory tried to explain the group cognition and group behavior in the angle of social identity, the former research on social identity has discovered when the individual has higher identity to their own group, they will pay more positive emotion to their own group and give higher appraisal to their own group. The Chinese Nation identity, is one kind of concrete social identity, which refers to identification of nation status and sentimental attachment to nation of the Chinese membership. The development of Chinese Nation identity may have important influence on young people's patriotism emotion and their national appraisal. Therefore, this research will explore the relationship between the Chinese Nation identity and national pride, national stereotype.This research takes the following three steps: Firstly, the most familiar 5 nation or nationality's names of adolescents were collected by open questionnaire, and then worked out the national stereotype scale, based on the Chen Jing national stereotype scale. Secondly, translated and revised the Smith national pride scale. Finally, the formal questionnaire included the Chinese Nation identity Scale, national pride scale, national stereotype scale, then tested the subject including student from junior high school, the high school and the university .The sample consist of 596 subjects.The main conclusion got in this research is as follows:(1)On the whole, the adolescents has more positive Chinese Nation identity , the development of adolescents' Chinese Nation identity was as follows: Chinese Nation identity's score of junior high school student is the highest, it decrease in high school student, and increase in university student; (2)On the whole, the adolescents have more positive national pride, the adolescents' score of pride on national history is the highest, the score of pride on national social security system is the lowest; (3) Chinese Nation identity and general national pride have significant positive correlation, Chinese Nation identity and domain-specific national pride have significant positive correlation ,too. the feeling dimension's score and national pride had the highest correlation; (4) There are significant in-group favoritism in the national stereotype, the subject evaluate the Chinese more higher than other national people;(5) the subjects with more higher the Chinese identity have more national stereotypes; (6) Chinese Nation identity can predict both national pride and in-group favoritism, which proves the higher Chinese Nation identity is, the higher national pride and in-group favoritism to be.
