As composition occupies a predominant position among middle school subjects, we middle school teachers have an obligation and duty to change our methods of teaching to enhance students' writing performance. The ancient poet Li Bai has shown us that a work of art will achieve eternality only when it is derived from true feelings flowing from the bottom of one's heart, and only then will an artist be able to "represent a mountain with an emotional force like a mountain, and reproduce a sea with an emotional power like the sea." Taking into consideration the fact that Li Bai's poems occupy an overwhelmingly important position among the texts in the textbooks for the Chinese course in the middle schools and that students worship Li Bai and would follow his example, the text have taken Li Bai as an example to make a case study of how composition should be taught in the Chinese course in middle schools.
