Creation is the essence characteristic and the born potential power ofhuman. Infancy is the best period to develop children's creation potential,and therefore preschool education should take this optimum educationalopportunity. Should the curriculum evaluation, which is the element ofkindergarten curriculum, take the responsibility to develop creationpotential? And how could it? This study explores the relation between thekindergarten curriculum evaluation and the exploiting of children'screation potential, looking forward to offer some new angle of view andsuggestions to educators who pay attention to the exploiting of children'screation potential.The methods used in this study are literature search, spot observation,and interview. Firstly, this paper summarizes the study in the past,indicates the necessity for the kindergarten curriculum evaluation toexploit children's creation potential, and expatiates on the relationshipbetween them from the perspectives of psychology, philosophy and etc.Secondly, this study analyzes the promote function and negativeinfluence of the kindergarten curriculum evaluation on the developing ofchildren's creation potential. On the one hand, the kindergartencurriculum evaluation can help the curriculum develop children's creationpotential, improve the teachers' ability to develop children's creationpotential and inspire children's potential by estimating children properly.On the other hand, the disadvantages of kindergarten curriculumevaluation, such as the ignorance of the function on exploiting children'screation potential, the departure from the objects, the unbalance of subjects, the lack of evaluation standards and etc, have negativeinfluences on the developing of children's creation potential.Finally, based on relative theories and aimed at the negativeinfluences, the study proposes some strategies which are propitious todevelop children's creation potential. It says that, in order to achieve thevalidity of curriculum evaluation, educators should construct theevaluation idea which is based on humanism ideas, ensure thesubjectivity of teachers and children, found the evaluation content system,take various evaluation methods and ways, and help teachers form theevaluating style which is good for developing children's creationpotential.
