Ability of writing is one of the main components of the ability of Chinese, and also is one that can't be lack of at least. Traditional assessment method in writing emphasizes grade achieved too much, and neglects the function of progress in writing capability at the same time. Emphasizing quality and assessment result by all means, neglecting meanings in progress and instructing hampers self-assessment and self-questioning farther.Based on the research on theories in portfolio, this paper presents that portfolio should be applied to writing in middle school. Three aspects of portfolio, that is object (what), assessment standard (how) and agent (who), and the relation-ship among them are presented. In practicing, assessment participators, contents, standards and methods are the key issues in portfolio in middle school. Methods of manipulation in practicing are explored extensively; evaluation system is also built up. Evaluating among multi-agent prompts self-question, pursues perfection personality and boosts the desire of writing, improves the ability of writing day-by-day.
