Basic education in People's Republic of China has developed rapidly and achieved great success for more than fifty years, in which teaching-research section and fellow of all ranks play an important role. But, with the changes inside and outside of educational environment, the former teaching-research system has become an obstacle to the development of China's basic education course. Studying the historical evolution of basic education teaching-research system in China, pondering over the existing problems, looking into the developmental trend in new century, will contribute to the prosperity of China's basic education course. The thesis inquires into the basic education teaching-research system in China based on the above-mentioned questions, which is made up of four parts.Partâ… : Preface. This part illustrates briefly the research significance, summarizes the present situation of study on teaching-research system at home and abroad as well as clarifies the concept of teaching-research system.Partâ…¡: This part reviews the historical evolution of basic education teaching-research system in China, which is divided into five periods: the period of rudiment, formal establishment, stagnancy, convalescence and development, reform and deliberation. It states the announcement of teaching-research policy, the establishment of teaching-research institute, the carrying-out of teaching-research activity etc, preparing for the Third part.Partâ…¢: It ponders over the traditional teaching-research system from two aspects, based on partâ…¡. One is the reason why external-control teaching research system plays a leading role for a long time. On the other hand, it concludes the major problems within the system. Specifically, those are the lack of independence of schools and teachers, obscure responsibility of teaching-research sections, indistinct role of research fellows and the separation of scientific research from teaching research.Partâ…£: The fourth part, centering on the idea-reform in China's basic education teaching-research system, analyzes the inexorable trend of basic education teaching-research system reform and conceptions to advance school-based from two aspects: moving-toward school-based and moving-into school-based. The former emphasizes the chances and challenges in the process of teaching-research system moving toward school-based, which is also great enlightenment we got from the teaching-research reform in international secondary and primary schools The latter, moving into sehool-based deals with the conceptions to advance selaool based teaching-research system. The points are transferring the emphasis of teaching-research system, integrating resources, building net-work for teaching-research communication, developing the intermediary agency, bridging the divide between the traditional and the new system.
