| With the international communication and expansion of cooperation,English is becoming more and more important. At present, foreignlanguage teaching is confronted with great reforms and changes in thenew trend, teachers' traditional role of simply imparting knowledge hasbeen challenged for it cannot adapt to the pluralists foreign languageteaching. In Senior Middle Schools, the teachers make full use ofinteractive model to improve the students' language level. How weshould improve the students' reading ability with the interactive modelhas become a common concern of researchers and most of the Englishteachers.English is one of the basic subjects of which aim is to promotecommunication. So teachers have to change their role of "instrumentsolo" into "instrument ensemble" Traditionally, English teaching classwas dominated by the teachers. But nowadays it is changed into suchkind of class based on the students so that students can exploreknowledge automatically, think and create freely. The task of the SeniorEnglish New Curriculum Standards is to build up not only the students'language knowledge and skills but also a good ability of automaticlearning and cooperative learning or interactive learning.This thesis is mainly to study the application of Interactive model inEnglish reading teaching in Senior Middle Schools and find out whether it is available, meanwhile find out the problems and the ways to solvethem.The study is based on the experiment, which is conducted by twoclasses in Grade One, one is an experimental class, and the other is thecontrolled class. After half a year's experiment, it is clear that theexperimental class is better than the controlled class. Making full use ofthe interactive model to teach in Senior Middle Schools is good for us todevelop the students' interests, besides, it is also good for us to improvethe students' reading ability, reading confidence and communicativecompetence. |
