The campus culture of the higher college plays the essential roles of effecting students' growth directly and it is the key link in the higher educational system. There are generality and personality in the construction of campus culture. In higher vocational college, there are many particularities at the aim of education, the conception of running school and the pattern of culture. Therefore, it must have its own characteristics in the aspect of campus culture. However, What is the characteristic of the campus culture in this college? We haven't found a definite answer yet. That is what I grope for in the article.The research is based on the understanding of basic conception of the campus culture and the definition of culture in the higher vocational college. According to the research, there are some differences between higher vocational college and other kinds of colleges in student groups, common cultural consciousness and objective carrier. Therefore, it is inevitable that higher vocational college has its characteristic in campus culture. The culture with its own characteristic is a gathering which includes all kinds of activities for realizing the higher educational function and all the material and mental production coming from the faculty and students' activities.In this article, I illustrate the key content about the following three characteristics of campus culture in higher technical college. They are professional culture rooted in vocation; training culture simulated by enterprise and quality culture directed by employment.Vocation is the most obvious characteristic for us to make a distinction between higher vocational education and general higher education. In higher vocational college, bringing up the technicians is the key task. Thus, we should develop the professional culture rooted in vocation and implementing the course culture. This culture is one of the high points in the establishment of campus culture. In order to adapt for the needs of strengthening the students' practical abilities, we have realized that the special effect that students should learn techniques and skills in practice or simulated enterprise. The establishment of the practical training system and factories has been growing the specific training culture.The conception of running school guided by employment orientation has a new affect and selection at the quality value, quality management and so on. Higher vocational college had been forming their quality culture of employment direction in the course of this transformation.The research of the characteristics of campus culture in higher technical college has positive and practical significance to the science development of college culture.
