The professionalization of the teaching faculty sets the trend of the world's reform on teachers'education; every country is exploring effective methods to promote the professional development for teachers. The model of teachers'development is one of the achievements of contemporary teachers'educational theories and practices. By studying the models, various feasible methods and approaches are available for the education of teachers, and by analyzing the important elements in these models, people's perception into the law of the teacher's development is thus deepened. The teachers'development model refers to summarizing the main constitutional elements in the process of training by distilling the characteristics and stabilizing them as the operational and referential frame and structure of the model promotion. This paper is conducted based on this theoretical presupposition:The teachers'professional development abides by certain rules, and there are varied characters in different stages of the teachers'professional development, thus appropriate educational models and strategies need to be adopted to promote the professional development of teachers. Therefore, the support for the teachers'professional development is supposed to be rooted in the varied stages of the teachers'cognitive and professional development, and conclude or deduce varied development models according to the principle and rule by which the model is constructed, and demonstrate exhaustively of the relevant models such items as theoretical presupposition, operational stages, social system, auxiliary system and its applicable scope. This essay consists of six parts:The first part, as a brief introduction to the teachers'development model, summarizes its connotation, the goal and significance of the research and its methodology. The second part, according to the teachers'characters and growing needs in different periods, divides the development of teachers into the following stages, such as the adaptation-stage of seeking and surviving life, the rapidly developing competent-building stage, the suspending and receding peak of growth, the upgraded stage of extension and surpassing, and the wandering off-work stage. It also portrays the teachers'professional performance in different stages from the development of the teachers in different periods, the main problems solved and the requirement in the development, and provides support for selecting the relevant development mode, which is suitable for the stages of teachers'development. The third part, as the body part, consists of two chapters. Based on the understanding of the requirement of the teachers in the developing stages and the feasible analysis of the teachers'development mode, it picks five development modes from practices and introduces each of them in details. They are as follows: text-based discussion on teaching, internet-based narration of education, peer coaching, interactive training, and case designing. To discuss the single mode, the paper centers on the following six parts: mode definition, theoretical premise, syntax, the social system, the auxiliary system and its applicable scope. To prove its validity, the its operational cases were taken. The fourth part is about the characteristics of the effective model. Based on the third part, it summarizes the common characters borne by those relatively effective professional development strategies. They are experience-based, practice-centered, and they take cooperation as measures, reflection and research as support and feedback as adjustment. The fifth part is about the application and improvement of the development mode, and emphasizes the problems that may arise during its application. It also argues that this development mode does no stand still. It should be sensitive to the feedback coming around, takes in new elements from practice constantly and test it, enrich it, adjust it, and improve it through the feedback in the practice so that it will maintain the exuberant vitality.
