In the era of communicative language teaching, interaction is, in fact, the heart of communication; it is what communication is all about. Interactive teaching is giving students something to do, getting back what they have done, and then assimilating, so that one can decide what would be best to do next. Interactive Teaching means learning by doing through experience. But to be of value, teachers need to interact and challenge student thinking exposing them to new ideas.As we all know, education is the interaction between a person and a person, is the understanding of humans. With the new reforms in curriculum, interactive teaching method is on its way. So this paper will have a further study on interactive teaching in ELC. Research shows through interaction, students can increase their language ability as they listen, or read authentic linguistic material. Now things seem to go to another extreme. More and more teachers emphasize learner-centered style. With the main actors in the classroom being the students, who hurriedly engage in activities from one to another, the classroom time is filled by learners' activities. The active roles which learners perform in developing their language deserve due attention, but it is still doubtful whether the students can fulfill so many tasks without the help of the teacher. So the relationship between the teacher and students should be well balanced. If we are seriously interested in an approach to language teaching which will develop the ability to communicate, we should take into account several factors: the roles of learners, the roles of teacher, and the role of instructional materials in English language class。On the basis of analyzing the relational questions of interactive teaching, this paper brings forward suggestions in listening, speaking, reading and writing of interactive teaching. It also makes a design of language classroom. Furthermore, this paper gives an efficient scheme of interactive teaching on the web.Lastly, this paper gives the conclusion on what is real interactive teaching and what we should pay attention to in implementing an interactive teaching environment. |
