The information technology based on computer multimedia and network communication has been developed rapidly since 1990s, and the domain of education is experiencing an unprecedented revolution, which is educational informatization. At the same time, with the promotion of the new basic curriculum reformtion, teachers are required to successfully integrate IT into their teaching; it's a revolution of pedagogy and instructional methods. Then country teachers become direct undertakers and play a critical role in the process of educational informatization and basic curriculum reformation in the western country district. Facing various challenges, those teachers must adjust or even change their teaching performance and engage in the informatization-oriented teacher training actively, in order to take on their important reformtion task. But recently, the problem that many teacher training activities often deviate from the participants' reality is more and more serious, so it is very important to construct the teacher training model, which is adapt to the actual situation of teachers in the western country district.The methods of literature review, questionnaires, on-the-spot investigation and interviews are introduced in the thesis in order to investigate the present situation and analyze problems of the informatization-oriented teachers training held in primary and secondary schools in the western country district. The author constructs a training model which is suitable for country teachers from five aspects of teachers training theories, goals, contents, executing methods and evaluations, which is based on absorbing some relative domestic and abroad research results and the modern distance education projects of primary and secondary schools in the western country district. Furthermore, the author also carries out an experiment to examine the effect of the new model.The thesis consists of six chapters: chapter one-introduction includes the research background, purpose,contents, meaning, value, clue and methods; Moreover explain the important meaning of constructing teachers training model based on the modern distance education project of primary and secondary school in the western country distrct. Chapter two offers some definitions about relative concepts, and makes an overview of and analyzes the current practice and research condition of teacher training domestic and abroad. Chapter three mainly makes an investigation of the teacher training of primary and secondary school in the western country district, then analyzes and comments on the problems existed. Based on the data which are gained by the investigation and analysis in the third chapter, the chapter four constructs the informatization-oriented teacher training model adapts to wester country district. Chapter five in order to examine the validity of the new teacher training model, the author selected one middle school as an experimental school, then do some experiments in its teacher training activities with the new model, and did relative feedback investigation of training effects. Chapter six summarizes the whole thesis and come up with the next step researcher work.
