The teacher professional development is the focus of research in current education fields. Knowledge, as the basis of the professional development of teachers, is a problem worth researching. This essay is focused on discussing the knowledge basis of teachers professional development. This paper is divided in three parts.First, after retrospecting the knowledge basic research of teachers professional development at home and abroad, brings forword the teachers' knowledge including the discipline knowledge,the education knowledge and the practical knowledge these three kinds of knowledge, and analyzes the relations and transformation among the three kinds of knowledge, and teacher knowledge characteristic at different stages in teachers professional development.Second, carries on the analysis to the present situation about knowledge basis of the teacher professional development, first analyzes the problems that exist ,then discusses the causes of the problem from the pre-service teacher education and teacher education two aspects.Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, proposes that construct teacher's knowledge basis from four aspectsxhange the way of continuing education,promote teacher knowledge base;reflect teaching experience and accumulate a wealth of practical knowledge;action research to improve the scientific research level of teachers;construct teachers learning community.
