Ontology Of Wushu

The "Being" of Wushu is "Dao" of Wushu which is realized by people who practice Wushu. The "Dao" is the reflection of Existence in Wushu. Wushu's Ontology is the theory that researches why Wushu exists and the significance of Wushu's existence, it is human being's destinational court to "Dao" of Wushu. This thesis studies Wushu's Ontology by six parts.The first part of this thesis tries to clarify Ontology which is a very important philosophy concept and is easy to be confused. By a step-by-step discrimination of there section of the chapter: the source of Ontology, inherent nature of Ontology and rectification of Ontology's position, the thesis point out: "Being" is not only about the "thing", because "Being" is the being understanded by "human being" forever. Therefore, Ontology, as the theory characteristics of destinational solicitude which is based on practice nature of human being, is a part belonging to metaphysics. Ontology, which research objective is not a concrete object, but is an open and boundless existence which points to ideal state, what it is related to is foundational ideal of human being's reason, is an open theory system which holds a lot of reasonable thoughts. Ontology naturely has three basic contents: destinational existence as things (existencelogy), destinational explaination as cognition (cognitionlogy) and destinational value as meaning integration (valuelogy), therefore, "Being" is all. Ontology defines vocabulary of special field of study and relation of this vocabulary. These basic concepts, as foundation stones of a building, provide an integrational cognition to people who can exchange their ideas. So Ontology is the basic and core of philosophy.The second part of this thesis is what is Wushu. From Wushu's concept and basing on arranging Wushu's vocabulary source, the thesis studies "Being" of Wushu and knows that it at first is skill, the second is culture and eventually is "Dao" of existence. The "Dao" of Wushu is the state where human being's pure thought integrate Wushu so well, the "Dao" reveals cosmos vitality though the beautiful form of human body movement. Eventually, the thesis classifies Wushu.The third part of this thesis is why Wushu is Wushu. The "Dao"of Being is hardly known, but human being must understand things by logic, so Wushu's growth has its law. The thesis gives a short introduction of Wushu's history at first, studies Wushu's growth logic though four sections secondly: the need of human being, the influence of society, Wushu itself's logic structure and functions, people merge and attach Wushu to Chinese traditional culture.The fourth part of this thesis is Wushu's essence character. The essence charater is the revelation of "Being" in different levels and different time. Wushu's essence character is skill of attacking, but with passage of time and development of society, it is transforming into physical training. But we should combine the two characters to one and Wushu can keep its vitality forever.The fifth part of this thesis is Wushu's level structure. The Wushu's "Being " must only be expressed by "Dao" eventually, but it has different states from low to high. We can conclude Wushu's level structure as strength state at first, skill state secondly and mystical state in the end if from skill angle, its corresponding aesthetics structure are physique rhyme at first, meaning rhyme secondly and magic state. The people must keep hardworking and improve their state continuously, eventually, they can get to the mystical state where the human being is integral part of nature.The sixth part of this thesis is that Wushu absorbs and draws on the contents of Chinese classic philosophy and west modern philosophy. The outcomes of the combination of Wushu and philosophy are "Dao"; "Taiji", "Yinyang" , "Wuxing"; "Energy"; "Dhyana"'; "Alienation"; "game" and "Interpretion" at least. The "Being" of Wushu system will keep grow continuously, it will contribute to the understanding and development of Wushu.The thesis occupied the research results of Wushu philosophy and Wushu theory since the Reform and Openness comparatively sufficiently. Basing on the philosophy which was created naturely by people who pratised Wushu, absorbing the philosophy which was contained in ancient Wushu books, drawing on the Chinese and west philosophy theory, the thesis researches Wushu Ontology comparatively deeply. The thesis tries to accomplish theory on history, and strives to lay down relatively solid basis of building Wushu philosophy frame.
