The Research On Autonomy Of Community Residents' Committee In Shanghai

With the deepening reform of the market economic system, great changes have taken place in urban social-structures, mainly embodied in the ever-growing importance of the community in urban administration. Thus community residents' committee, an important organization managed by its local residents and severing for themselves, has been put more and more emphasis especially on its autonomic function.Form the prospective of both history and status quo, reviewing the process of community residents' committee both in China and Shanghai, The thesis expounds the democratic election and its subsequent operation by autonomy on the basis of half-year research of Zhuyuan community residents' committee which is located in Weifang, Pudong New Area, and then analyzes its problems and puts forward some meaningful suggestions in order to improve its autonomic performance.The brief narration in the preface includes the background of the theme, its purpose, research method, internal research status quo and the definition of some important concepts.
