Nowdays, the developments of natural science have been promoting the improvement of society radically. Physics, as an important subject of natural science, has made quite an effect on human life. However, because its total mark in senior school entrance examination has been cut down. It is thought as a minor course. How can we change the situation? This paper probes into how to foster the motivation and stimulate the interest of physics learning. According to some examples in class, the writer also trys to use various methods to solve some physics learning problems such as boredom and difficulties.This thesis constitutes of three main parts.The first part is about the basis on which physical curriculum is arranged. From several aspects such as physiology, sociology, and psychology I illustrate the significance of physics subject, and the necessity to arrange physics subject.In the second part of the research I found the phenomenon that in the thoughts of students, parents and teachers elementary physics is a minor subject. I formulated the resulting causes and illustrate the necessity of exploring how to teach physics.In the last part, from motivation, interest, competence and art education I made some speculations and explorations on teaching elementary physics .
