With the development of teaching technology, the multi-media aided teaching is becoming more and more valuable. This kind of teaching approach is undertaken in many areas and countries around the world. A large number of educators in our country also take an active part in protesting multi-media aided teaching method. So far, great progress has been made. The multi-media technology and the integration of different courses are gradually becoming important part of the current educational reform.First of all, the text covers the purpose, the meaning and the present situation of multi-media teaching at home and abroad. Such basic conceptions are further discussed, as the definition of multi-media technology, multi-media computer, multi-media aided teaching, the relationship between traditional media teaching and multi-media aided teaching, the basic theory and the pattern of the integration of multi-media technology and courses teaching.The second part contacts the definition, the principle and the basic patterns of teaching design. The necessity and the possibility as well as the basic theory and the teaching approach of multi-media aided teaching are also included in this part.The advantages together with the problems are also referred to. At the same time, it also reforms us of the reasons of these problems.In the last part, the text emphasizes the solution to the problems and the method of why it is so difficult to carry on multi-media aided teaching approach. The problems lie in assessment. Lots of suggestions and thoughts are put forward in the end.
