Science education is important for the development of economy and society, especially the fundamental science education, which is crucial for the scientific literacy of all Chinese. Science education supplies students with scientific knowledge and methods, otherwise, it helps students understand the nature of science, potentially shape the images of scientists and science. Therefore, it is essential to study primary and secondary school students'concepts of scientists and science and their attitudes to science career. The evaluation and design of science education should concern this value.The research purposes to study primary and secondary school students'concepts of scientists and science in mainland. Using questionnaires, it aims to find the characteristic of the concept and the difference and reason. Meanwhile, comparing the concept of students in mainland with that of the students in Hong Kong, Taiwan and western countries, it tries to summarize the similarities and differences. At last, some advice is given on science education.
