As a consequence of examination-oriented education, there exists a serious phenomenon of emphasizing knowledge while devaluating emotion, which leads to the students losing interest in study. This also leads to their indifferent emotion. Education is aimed at developing students in an all-round way. The function of emotional education in teaching has aroused more and more attention, but the results are not so satisfactory. This article attempts to explore the strategy of integrating emotional education with the teaching of Chinese in high schools.This article consists of three parts. In the first part, it deals with the connotation and significance of emotional education. The author believes that emotional education is not a kind of teaching mode, but an idea. In the second part, it examines the current situation of emotional education: the lack of emotional attainments in high school teachers; ignorance of students'emotion and the imperfect assessment system of emotional education. The causes: the shackles of rationalism, the pressure placed by the College and University Entrance Examinations, and the lack of knowledge of emotional education study. In the third part, the author discuss the strategy of carrying out emotional education in teaching Chinese in high schools. The key lies in raising the emotional education attainments of the teachers, the emphasis on cultivating the students'emotions, cognition, expressing skills and controlling skills. Special attention must be paid to the levels of emotional education. In the meantime, recessive courses must be dug up. Finally, the author concludes that in the future, the education should be one that combines knowledge and emotion education.
