The research on college students' subjective well-being has been conducted in a relative low frequency in the past. When it comes to the use of tools for measuring the subjective well-being, scales from aboard are just edited or introduced directly in some research by domestic researchers. Only a few researchers in the field of the college students' subjective well-being have conducted the research on the correlation of temperament and subjective well-being. The research of this thesis investigates the current status of college students' subjective well-being and its relationship with temperament by the scale designed by the author. The author takes further steps to conduct research on college students' cognition, study, college life, study, and emotion. The effect of different types of temperament on college students' subjective well-being is paid attention to in our research as well. The author draws the conclusions as follows: (1) There are altogether eight factors in college students' subjective well-being, namely, positive emotion, the sense of interpersonal relationship, self-evaluation, college life evaluation, negative emotion, the sense of study, the sense of love, and the sense of job hunting. (2) There is no significant difference in gender concerning college students' subjective well-being on the whole, and only the senior students show significant difference in gender. As to the freshmen, sophomores and junior students, there exits no differences related with gender. When measured by majors, medical students have the significant difference, since female students' get higher scores than the male students. However, students majoring in science, engineering, and arts display no significant gender difference. Besides, there lies significant difference in gender among the eight factors of subjective well-being, say, female students score higher than male students in the sense of love and the sense of interpersonal relationship. (3) Students majoring in science score lower in subjective well-being than students of other majors. There's no significant difference among students majoring in arts, medical, and engineering. Besides, there exists significant difference in three factors of college students' subjective well-being of "evaluation of college life", "the sense of choosing for a job position" and "the sense of love". (4) The differences in grades of college students' subjective well-being are listed as follows. The freshmen's scores are significantly higher than sophomores', and the senior students' scores are also significantly higher than the sophomores' and junior students'. A significant difference exists in three factors in college students' subjective well-being of "the sense of job hunting", "the sense of interpersonal relationship", and "the sense of major". We could find significant differences in grades on college students' subjective well-being. (5) college students with different types of temperament have significant differences on the whole, and in subjective well-being scores and the eight factors of subjective well-being.
