| To revitalize China, we practice the national strategy by developing science and education and by putting top priority on education. For such a purpose, the development of rural area is vital to build a moderately prosperous society. The Party and the government attach a great importance to the work related to agriculture, rural area and farmers. Thus, the development of physical education in suburban schools exerts a great influence on both physical and mental health of innovative talented people and in our country. Nan Chang is one of the less-developed cities in the middle area of China, had poor educational conditions. So in order to develop NC, to promote the development of PE in rural schools in NC, the study tries to give some ways in reform and development in rural schools by the exploitation and development of physical education curriculum resources under the circumstances of national new courses reform.Basing on the literature review of education resources which were summed up by our predecessors, we illustrate the concept, types, characteristics of physical education curriculum resource and the significance of its exploitation and development of PE resources. We will carry out the research by investigations, experiments and statistics; the investigation is mainly carried out with questionnaires for the leaders of 18 schools and PE teachers of 43 schools in counties of Nan Chang, Xin Jian, Jin Xian, An Yi, and district of Dong Hu, Xi Hu, Qing Shanhu, and Wan Li, we analyze and conclude the present condition of exploitation and development of the education resource in rural schools in NC city. Furthermore, Dian Qian School in Mei Ling Town in Wan Li district is considered as the experimental subject. Form the actual situation of curriculum, the study makes use of the local natural resource and tourism resource; develops the PE curriculum resources; does experiment on the reform of PE curriculum; discusses about the teaching methods when normal teaching is hard to realized with a serious shortage of PE equipment, playground teachers and funds, we also exploit and develop the folk PE, tourism PE community PE and natural PE.
