Research On Analyzing And Cultivating The Core Competence Of Bengbu College

During the course of the development of the higher education of China at the beginning of the 21th century and under the background of the popularization and the massive scale development of Chinese higher education, a good many of colleges for professional training have been upgraded to undergraduate course colleges. One third of these colleges named with the names of the local district and college are oriented as local comprehensive colleges ,serving for the development of the local economy and society.Bengbu college was founded at that time. For Bengbu college, this is a good chance that is very difficult to meet. However, behind the opportunity there are all kinds of challenges. Facing the drastic competition in the higher education market, where is Bengbu college going? How can it obtain competitive advantages and realize its sustainable development ? The theory of the core competence of universities and colleges is like a rising star that can guide Bengbu college what to do and how to do so. When Bengbu college grasps exterior opportunities this theory will make it gain its advantages through constructing core competitive ability so that Bengbu college can exist and develop in higher education market forever.The thesis ,based on the theoretical background of core competence, analyses and explores such questions as the definition, identification of the components,forming mechanism and ideas of the cultivation of the core competence of Bengbu college. At first, I analyzed the interior and exterior environment of Bengbu college systematically and in detail with key success factors analysis, EFE matrix analysis, IFE matrix analysis, IE matrix analysis, and SWOT analysis etc, to judge the opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses that Bengbu college will meet to find scientific proof for Bengbu college to apply core competence strategy. Then, according to the model of analyzing key factors of core competence, I identified those factors that make up of the core competence of Bengbu college .At last, through the constructing of disciplines and specialities, teacher resource, student quality, campus culture and college image to cultivate Bengbu college's core competitive ability.I expect my reseaech on analyzing and cultivating Bengbu college's core competence should do some good to construct Bengbu college's core competence.
