| Inquiry learning helps the students learn to study, and promote the students' development. It changes the situation that the students passively accept the teachers' knowledge, and it constructs one new kind of open environment, providing more ways for the students to acquire knowledge. It helps the students understand and solve the personal or social problem, and applies the knowledge to the practice . However, in high school physics teaching, inquiry learning practices merely by one kind of curriculum form, in very inaccessibility ideal goal.To implement the elementary education reform , simultaneously give dual attention to the subject teaching and the college entrance examination , many teachers have attempted to infiltrate it to the classroom education to enhance the student to study well and solve the physical question. At the same time, the Inquiry Learning is an independent, open and the practical study method, which requests the students' metacognitive ability to monitor, adjust and evaluate themselves. But there are many ways to improve the students' metacognitive ability.In this article the author analyzed from the teaching practice in the new class how to utilize resources and teaching materials, and apply inquiry learning in the classroom, which can train the students to refer to information, make plan, and confirm experiment. Ultimately it can promote subject teaching and complete the inquiry learning. In addition, this article also proposes a tentative idea to improve the metacognitive ability in the inquiry learning.By recording the learning factors, such as study period, process, method, mood, and environment, the students will pay attention to the factors that affect their own study .
