This paper summarizes and makes a thorough inquiry on the use of the multi-media technique in senior school s biological experiment teaching.During the teaching process of the biological experiment in senior two class, we first divided students into two parts: proving group and contrast group.Proving group applies multi-media to help teaching, contrast group applies traditional method. Through experiment study, questionnaire investigation and individual interview, and so on. During one-year long practical research, we compared the total marks of the students,the rate of success on the experiments,the students' interest taken in experiments, initiative in study, self-confidence in study, the habits and methods of study between the two groups. The results of research show that the students in the proving group are more interested in doing experiments and have strengthened their abilities in manipulation. So, the rate of success in this group is higher. The biological total marks have obviously been improved. The initiative and self-confidence in study have been strengthened. The students' habits and methods of study are both better than the students in the contrast group. Although multi-media teaching has shown its great superiority in our teaching process, it has its own shortcoming. Only by combining the multi-media supplementary teaching and traditional one organically, improving our teachers can we bring the initiative and creativity of the students into full play and deepen the students abilities of doing experiments.
