The reform of learning methods is the focus of curriculum reform of every subject .This paper focuses on the application of research-study in history teaching and it covers the review of the concept of research-study,our understanding of this method ,its application and prospects.Research-study in history under high school context means students learn actively under the guidance of teacher and students learn to acquire material and analyze them in a way similar with history research.Openness, process.comprehensiveness ,context and analytical thinking are the characteristics of research-study of history in high school and those characteristics show the nature of research-study. That is it is the return of the essence of history education.the change of learning method of history and the reform of the curriculum and teaching.This paper sets up the plan for the application of research-study in the subject of history in high school based on modern education theory and the requirements of New Curriculum Reform.By its practice in No 1 Middle School in Linhe,this paper explains two strategies of using this method. They are the activity of History Topic Study and its immerse into the classroom and the combination of theory into practice. As an explorative and creative method,research-study is posing new challenge to teachers.
