Nowadays, when the curriculum reform of national basic education is carrying out all around China, the school management begins to conflict with the reform. As the school management is such an important factor that serves for the success of the reform, changes in school management should be made. Therefore, the research of school management transformation also plays an important role in the curriculum reform.In the introduction part, the author gives out a brief account of the history of school management in both China and the foreign countries. Then based on the induction of the research to school management transformation, the author displays his ideas of the transformation for the management: the change of the management idea, the innovation of the management system, the re-construction of the culture.In Chapter Two the author mainly discusses the challenges that the school management faces in the context of curriculum reform. Here, the author analyzes the relationships between the curriculum and the school management, also the relationships between the curriculum reform and the transformation of school management. The disadvantages of the old fashion of management are obvious and the transformation is needed.In Chapter Three the author mainly puts stress on the inquiry of the school management transformation in management ideas which are of humanist management, democratic management and quality management.About the management system, the author mainly analyzes the working model and orientation of the education administrative power and the school autonomy, puts stress on the reasonable allocation of curriculum management power of central government, local government and the school. Here the management transformation mainly means the procedure of perfecting the headmaster's responsibility system, and stresses the leadership of the headmaster in the curriculum.About the school culture, the author analyzes the necessity and inevitability of the school culture re-construction, expounds the contents of the school culture re-construction, which means the re-construction of human-based concept culture, the democracy-based system culture, the characteristic-opening-based curriculum culture, the harmonious-developed-based learning culture.
