The problems of impoverished college students have become a hot button since the mid-1990s when the policy that students finance their own higher education came into practice. And it has become the concern of people from all walks of society and a focus of work for both the state government and colleges.The research on the problems of impoverished college students is complicated, involving several subjects, including sociology, education, and psychology, etc. The author lucubrates the problems from different points of view through document research, survey research, analytical demonstration and theory research. Only after knowing the difficulties of these students can the author study the issue, seek relevant solutions, and effectively solve the problems.We know that seeking after the roots of phenomena is the premise to know things correctly and solve the problems, so it is of great importance to study the roots of impoverished college students in this issue.
