Research On School-based Curriculum Development

The approaches to promoting the students' development of personality is a difficulty confronted by fundamental education on the background of Qualities Education in China. Since the new round of curriculum reform has broken through the dominancy of subject curriculum, school authorities could develop their own school- based curriculum today. Providing the students with diversified curriculum for free choices has become a hot issue in the current curriculum reform. Focusing on the course of curriculum development of Analysis and Case Study on the Hot Issues in Social Economy, this paper will explore the effects of school-based curriculum on simulating interest of students and enhancing their abilities through Action Research, and make efforts to gain some experience on the design of school-based curriculum as well as the development of textbook while discover the problems remained in teaching, so as to improve teaching standard of teachers and quality of school-based curriculum.
