A Study On The Content Of 1990s' Undergraduate Financial Aid Policies In America

With the massification of higher education, the problem of aiding poor undergraduates becomes more and more prominent. How to perfect the system of undergraduate financial aid has become one of the urgent problems of our country's higher education in the 21st century. Open our eyes, absorbing others advantages and abandoning their dregs are good ways to inspire our task. So the paper, taking the content of the financial aid policies of American undergraduate in 1990s as the study subject, tends to analyze and discuss it by using some methods such as literature analysis, history, comparison and factor analysis, and at last hope to shed lights for our country.The main body of this paper consists of five parts.The first part introduces the history of financial aid content of American undergraduates before 1990s.After the endless development of the first hundreds years, the cause of undergraduate financial aid, during the mass period of higher education in 1960s, started it's glaring beginning point; during the spiccato development period of higher education in 1970s, it developed inconstant; during the relatively calm period of higher education in 1980s, it entered into its calm period. Behind the history, the competition and alternation of liberalism and conservatism was the important influencing factor.
