In recent years, some theories of ecological orientation have made an increasing influence on early childhood education research in China. The researchers of early childhood education have begun to think and study the problems of early childhood education from the perspective of ecological tendency. However, some influential theories of ecological orientation haven' t been known to Chinese academic circles for some reasons. One of these theories is ecological epistemology. As one of the epistemologies of ecological tendency, ecological epistemology provides methodology basis for human beings to recognize nature and themselves, and it begins to exert influence on the international academic circles and arouses general concerns by researchers. This dissertation analyzes the ecological tendency of method in early childhood education research in China today from the perspective of ecological epistemology, and it could provide a new field of vision and some new suggestions for the researchers and practitioners of early childhood education in China.It' s the very core of the ecological epistemology that we create the world that we perceive, not because there is no reality outside our heads, but because we select and edit the reality we see to conform to our beliefs about what sort of world we live in. There are three key words of this theory: difference, relationship and explanation. The mind system establishes the relationships of the differential information and explains the meaning of the relations, then starts a new circle.
