Based on the theory of mathematics teaching and learning, a practical interpretation is given about the geometry teaching at junior school by means of true teaching plans, classroom activities and class commentaries. It is especially combined with the spirit of the new subject reform of mathematics and some new ideas are added to the traditional junior geometry teaching.The article consists of Six chapters. In the first chapter or the preface, great emphasis is placed on the important value of junior geometry teaching both in old and newly-edited textbooks so that more attention should be paid. The second chapter deals with common teaching methods for geometry conception teaching and especially how the "problem-solving" method is used in geometry conception teaching. The third chapter talks about how to help students experience the process of getting and using mathematics knowledge for themselves. In the course of mathematics proposition teaching , students should mainly be helped to develop their creative thinking, which suits the aims and demands of the national subject criterion of mathematics. Chapter Four tells how to develop students' space sense by using the thought-switching method in demonstrating geometric theorems. How to encourage students to apply their mathematics knowledge to practice how to improve their ability of application is interpreted in Chapter Five. Chapter Six emphasizes the important function of Maths History in junior geometry teaching.This article will be a great help to junior mathematics teachers, especially to those who are still using old textbooks can teach junior geometry with 《STANDARD FOR MATHS COURSE (EXPERIMENT DRAFT) 》.
