Since the Internet began rapid developing in 20 century' s ends, chat in Internet is the main goal of the crowd using the Internet. At present, many disciplines are interesting in the influence of chats on individual socialization. Through the angle of sociology of education, this study aims to probe into influence of the university students' chats in Internet on moral socialization in both theoretical and empirical ways. Firstly, the author analyses the characteristic and the function of the university students' chats in Internet, and tries to find out the chat' s essence and explain how the chat works. Then, we analyze the influence of the university students' chats on normal socialization from four factors, which are: contexts of socialization, withstands of socialization, pattern of socialization and content of socialization. By empirical study, we can find the chat has influence on the four factors of the university students' moral socialization. However, the university students trust their parents, teachers and friends more than net friends. They have the certain moral autonomy ability in Internet. We can' t exaggerate the negative influence of the chat. We should use the chat and let it display more positive influences the university students' normal socialization.
