At the beginning of the new century, the Ministry of Education issued the new curriculum criterion (experimental edition) of compulsory education for each subject. After that, new teaching material, which bases on the new curriculum criterion, has been published one after another. This indicates the new curriculum innovation of compulsory education has drawn up its prelude practically. Being the carrier of the new curriculum concept, the teaching material has aroused the curriculum experts' and researchers' common attention and warm discussion at home and abroad.This article sums up the predecessors' research through collecting and studying a lot of literatures. More importantly, this article compares the primary Chinese textbooks published by the People's Education Press before and after the curriculum innovation in the view of a teacher in the teaching material's system, structure, contents and ect, trying to deeply analyze the essence of the changes via the curriculum theories and teaching material research theories. This research is based upon to serve the teachers who teach Chinese, so it pays more attention to ponder upon the changes on the teachers' teaching style and the students' learning style after doing the textbook comparison research and to give some practical suggestions.
