The possession of ideal morality and personality by modern undergraduates has a direct effect on the construction of the modernizations of socialism. As the rapid development of modernization today, many undergraduates still have flaws in their morality and personality, which can be embodied in their incomplete consciousness of morality and personality—self-centered, too dependent, over-practical, badly disciplined, insufficiently grouped, individualistic heroism and poor cooperation. What's more, they conform to pragmatism, money worship and egoism, which do make people uneasy. If there are no effective measures taken to correct these flaws in time, not only the growth of the undergraduates, but the development of modernizations of socialism will be badly affected. Thus for the grown-up of modern undergraduates, the sustain development of colleges and universities, and the realization of the modernizations of socialism and the harmony of societies, it is crucial to study the morality and personality of the undergraduates and to seek the way in which they can be formed and shaped. The thesis aims at doing some research on "The Cultural Shaping of Modern Undergraduates' Moral Personality" from the following aspects. They should be open-minded, optimistic and cooperative. They should be independent, frugal and kind. They should be confident, self-respecting and honest. They should be decisive, creative and ready for contributing to the society.
