In the world today, science and technology is opening a broad perspective offamiliarizing and transforming nature. Meanwhile, high-tech are challenging thetraditional production styles, social ethics and natural environment. Therefore, humanbeings come to realize the two sides of "the Sword of Science".The inner spiritual resources of science, as a kind of culture, are rich and peculiar.However, due to the partial attention to its value as a tool, traditional teaching of physicsset store by transference and memorizing of knowledge only, while neglecting theeducation of such aspects as physical thoughts and methodology, scientific attitude andspirits, and world outlook and human life outlook. It may be said that physics educationof the past was incomplete in that it paid only partial attention to its toolness whileignoring development of human values.In the round of subject reformation, the aim of physics education during thecompulsory education period is to cultivate all the students' science accomplishment.This kind of education is not for the finest students, but for all the students. It shouldalso be full scientific education to develop the students' knowledge and skills,procedures and methods, sentimental attitude of value and so on.This thesis tries to search for the vest joining point between science and humaneducation, through elaboration on the argument "A Probe of Physics Teaching MergingHumanism Spirit", and explores to exercise complete physics education and nurtureall-sided and harmonious development of human, hoping to do my best to enhance thereform and development of middle school physics teaching.There are five sections in this thesis.Chapter 1. The current status of physics teaching and significance of physicseducation merging humanism spirit. Through analysis of physics teaching and existingproblems in the physics educational study, the subject, "A Probe of Physics TeachingMerging Humanism Spirit", was put forward.Chapter 2. In this section, the author defines firstly such terms as quality, all-aroundeducation, scientific education and human education, and analyses the inevitability ofthe mergence of scientific education and human education. Then discusses thepossibility and inevitability of the mergence of humanism spirit and physics education.It expounds fully the theoretical foundation of physics education from three aspectssuch as complete development of human, development of human brain sciences andmodern educational theories, thus providing a profound base for the research of physicseducation.Chapter 3. The third part of this thesis is the main body which states the maincontent. It fully and concretely describes the scope of physics education from teachingcontent and practice through six parts including "inducing students to establish properhuman life outlook, materialist dialectics, patriotism, aesthetical education, creativesense nurturing and STS education" in physics teaching.Chapter 4. In this chapter, the author puts forward the challenges to physics teachersthat they have to face the reality that they should transform from the "teachers of books"of the old days to "educational expert" of the future, and achieve the so-called"complete physics education". The author also suggests the corresponding measures.Chapter 5. The last part of the thesis includes two practical teaching plan cases,which is unable to hold complete content of physics education. Many physics educatorshave put the concept of inquiry-learning in practice, innovated the teaching methods andpromoted the development of inquiry-learning in both theory and practice.The tendency of physics education indicates that exploitation of values of humanquality is the general trend. The author hopes that it may draw the attention of teachingstaff of physics to this thesis and accomplish physics education in general.
